Quick Post

Just thought I'd throw up, well, not THROW up, but PUT up some deals I just got.

RT airfare from SLC to Las Vegas, though not my favorite place to go, is now just $60 through Southwest.
RT from SLC to Washington DC (now there is a place I'd like to go!) is only just $157 through Frontier.
And Calgary, Alberta (my old home) is a mere $302 through United if you can travel next weekend!

There's some good deals for music-lovers: the top 50 albums of 2008 mp3 downloads on Amazon for only $5 each.

Ah, After-Christmas Sales. . .

I know it has been a while and I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. As I recover from strep (NO FUN!!!), I thought I'd take a look at the deals that are to be had.

Ann Taylor Loft has a 70% off sale, plus there is a section of sale items that are an additional 30% off. Nice clothes at a much-needed discounted price!

GAP is having a great sale and today is the last day for an additional 25% off with code SALE.

Old Navy is having a 75% clearance sale online only.

A great place for shoes, I've discovered, is a place called 6PM. It has almost everything you could possibly want and right now they are having some great sales. Just for an example, they have Privo (made by Clarks) Hop 2 shoes, that used to be $64, are now $13.80. Yes, I've tried these on at Dillards and yes they are very comfy. Anyway, check it out and browse to your hearts content. Most likely you'll get lost in this site since there is so much to see!

Also, you want a free Redbox tonight? Use code 545D29 TODAY ONLY!

Christmas Frenzy

The top story headline in the Salt Lake Tribune this morning read "Retailers Crank up the Deals" so I guess for those of you who procrastinated, you are in luck!

Deseret Book has started their after-Christmas sale, including 50% off calendars, nativities, Christmas books, CDs, DVDs and more. So, get on to your nearest store or, if you need to, you could always pay more for a speedy shipping. Not to be competitive, but I also heard on the radio that Seagull Book is having a 40-60% off in their store as well. I don't see anything too excited on their website, but you can check it out for yourself here.

Everything at Aeropostale is 50-70% off, in-store and online.

Don't know much about it, but it has high ratings, the Smart-e-Bear, with software is on sale at Amazon for $19.99 (orig. $79.99!). Check it out here.

Old Navy has last minute 60% off deals. Also their doorbusters for tomorrow are their performance fleece blankets for $3. Neighbor gifts maybe? Perfect for that hard-to-shop-for person on your list?

Merry Deals, Merry Deals

I know with all I have to do in the morning, I won't have time to post much, but my sister-in-law just tipped me off to a site that's kind of like another site she tipped me off to before. Both these sites work by highlighting one deeply discounted deal at a time, for about an hour or until sold out I think. You have to check back frequently, but sometimes the deals are worth it! Since I'm a sports nut, they are sports-oriented:

Steep and Cheap is having a women's theme tomorrow, which means they will have only deals for women. Wahoo! Something for us ladies! So, check back hourly if you want to see what is highlighted.

The other site is Chain Love, which is mostly cycling gear, but some great deals, for all those cycling enthusiasts.

I LOVE when Restaurant.com runs these deals. They have $25 gift certificates (or other amounts) to various establishments in your town, marked down to $10, then with the code SANTA, you get 80% off, making a $25 gift certificate only $2! There are some restrictions, so read the small print, but all in all you can't beat it!

Monday's Edition

Shopping has slowed, maybe all you have left are stocking stuffers or, like me, just a few teacher/neighbor gifts to assemble. Anyway you have it, there are still a few deals to be had and most places are offering great shipping deals in order to get it to you before Christmas.

Today only, once again, American Eagle is having a buy one, get one 50% off on EVERYTHING and, this is the best part, FREE SHIPPING! It's just for today.

Also, Old Navy is offering free shipping on any order right now (with promo code JOY)and an extra 10% with promo code ONHOLIDAY (on orders more than $75).

I saw some great deals in the Walgreens ad. Quite honestly, every year this is where we end up getting most our stocking stuffers and wrapping paper. You can also get any sort of gift card you want from here. Strange yes, but can you say one-stop shopping? Thought I'd mention my favorite coupon deals: My kids LOVE to color and coloring books are 3/$1, girls tights are 99 cents, Colgate toothbrush or toothpaste is 99 cents and Blistex 3-pack lip balm 2/$5 or Chapstick 2/$3. If you don't have the ad, walk into any Walgreens and they will have a bundle right by the door, with the coupons you need.

A while back I posted a deal for Orlando, round-trip from SLC. It's not down to $99 like it was, but it got down to $136 today. Still not bad. It is through United, but you can also book it through Tavelocity or CheapAir. Other good deals include from SLC round-trip to New York for $215 (US Airways) and $98 rt to Vegas (Southwest).

The Deseret Book deal for day 5 of their 12 Days of Christmas is 43% off "The Mortal Messiah" by Bruce R. McConkie for today only, making it $19.99.

Shoes.com is having a HUGE 50% off sale this Saturday only. On top of that, you can also use this 10% off coupon code: CATALOG8. It goes from 5 a.m. to midnight.

Okay, so I've watched this Kota dinosaur go from $299, to $199 and now $99 in the matter of weeks. I feel bad because it's actually a cute toy with some cool movements, but it really was the wrong year to have it come out, with the recession and all. I think the company must not be selling as they predicted and now they are dropping the price right before Christmas in hopes of selling a few more. So, it is now $99 at Toys R Us with free shipping. It is also found almost everywhere else for about the same price now.

Wonderful Wednesday Deals

Deseret Book is doing a 12-days of Christmas, with a deal everyday. Today is day 3 and I'm loving the deal, just because I love Elder Maxwell. It is his book entitled "The Promise of Discipleship", hardcover, for a mere $5.99. The catch is that it is online only and for today only and, of course, shipping. Still looks like a great addition to any Christian library.

REI, what can I say, I'm a fan! If you have ever browsed their outlet, there are some really good deals. They are offering an extra 20% off just until tomorrow with the code OUTLET25. Instead of paying shipping, you can also opt to have it sent to the store for free. I've done it before and it works great!

Also, for today only, you can print out a coupon for Old Navy for an extra 40% off in-store, on one item.

Here's a Borders coupon for 25% off plus free shipping. Use this code IPL1255 at checkout.

Lost anyone?

Okay, I'm totally excited about the first STL today! I'm a HUGE fan of the LOST TV series. I was saying to my hubby just the other day that it would be fun to own all of them. Amazon's deal of the day is seasons 1-3 (4 just came out too, but is not included) that were regularly $180, now only $58.99. That's a huge chunk off. Alas, still to much for us to bite off now, but I thought I'd pass along the love for any other LOST fans out there--I know you're out there!

Macy's has a cute BCX big button trench coat that used to be $68, but is now only $9.99 plus shipping. There are only size M left, however, but it's cute nonetheless, don't you think?

For the campers out there, Boscov's has a 3-piece set of cast iron skillets for $9.97 plus shipping (originally $50).

My sis was saying she wanted more children's books; well, here's a deal for her: Weekly Reader Publishing is offering 10 hard cover Caldecott winner classics for $24.95. Free shipping code is 134424, item number WRB532. They work out to be about $2.50 each, and that's hardback!

I thought "Cyber Monday" was last week, but apparently KMart decided to have another one. Various deals today only and free shipping over $29.

American Eagle is having free shipping today and tomorrow, plus use this code for an extra 20% off: 64592371.

NICE STLs TODAY!!

After a lull in good deals this week, I'm happy to post some nice deals for you! Hold on, here we go:

Gymboree is having 25% off sale on their entire site, including sale items. Free shipping too! Cute clothes at a much cheaper price.

Today is the last day for an extra 25% off at Leapfrog. They also have 40% off on some bundles and some nice clearance items. Free shipping over $50. I love Leapfrog!

Need jeans? Saturday only doorbusters at Old Navy include $12 jeans for the entire family. Plus, sweaters up to 40% off.

Who runs? I love Nike Shox, but normally they are about $100 or more. Finsih Line has them on sale, men's and women's, some for $60, BUT there is a coupon code GOOGLE20 that will give you 20% off, making them $48. You can get free shipping over $75.

Timberland is a high-end outdoorsy brand that can be pricey. They are having a friends and family sale for 40% off with code FFRIEND1 on everything.

Because my daughter wants an iPod for Christmas (she's 6! can you believe it?) and I didn't want to spend what iPods cost, I've been doing research on MP3s. I'm looking for a 2 GB, but a sale came up on a 8 GB that I thought I'd tell you about because normally these are crazy expensive. It's the Sony Walkman MP3 is actually rated really good. Normally $140 almost anywhere, you can get it half off for $70 with code WLKMN50 with free shipping.

Keep posted, it's early so I may find more deal to post later.

PJs, Games and Muppets

Traditionally we will open one gift on Christmas Eve. In our family, it is a new pair of pajamas. Many others have this tradition. If you have yet to get your cozy pair, Figleaves is having a great sale on pjs, like 90% off! AND they are offering free shipping with code WEL5.

A favorite family game, thanks to my Grandmother, is Scrabble. Amazon has the Diamond Anniversary Edition for $14.99 (orig. $35). It looks like a cool edition, so for those of you who don't have it yet (especially in my extended family) go get it!

Need anything at Joanns? Here is a 50% off coupon code: EFD341 They are having a 3-day sale right now.

I debated whether to put this on, but as I listened to some of the songs, and watched my kids dance in delight, it brought back memories from yesteryear. Amazon also has The Muppets: A Green and Red Christmas MP3--the entire thing for a dollar! So, go here and see if you likey.

I guess the one-day only free shipping deal is not only good at Gap, but also Old Navy and Banana Republic! Happy day today! Old Navy is also offering a 20% off total purchase with code SAVENOW.

Also Finish Line is also having a free shipping day today only. Here's a 15% off code for sale items: COMEBACK

Cereal and Online Codes Galore

The STL deal at Smiths is a great one this week. It actually only goes until Tuesday, but until then you can get the extra large boxes of cereal (select General Mills, such as Cheerios, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, etc.) for 5 for $10 which is darn good. Go get some!

There are a ton of online code deals to tell you about, BUT most of them are only for a few days, so note the expiration dates. Here we go:

Sweat suits, Toys and Guitars Oh My!

It has been hard to keep up with all the deals the last few days, so I decided to take a short hiatus to eat turkey, pumpkin pie and to go shopping! Hopefully you all had a great Thanksgiving and didn't gain as much weight as I'm sure I did! Here are a few deals I thought were worth noting . . .

I, personally, like the Old Navy doorbusters for today. Since I'm a creature of comfort, I live in sweats and pjs if I can get away with it. They have basic fleece sweat pants and sweat shirt for $10 each--nice comfy outfit for $20. They also have all their graphic tees for $5.

eToys is still having some great deals on toys if you are still in the market after yesterday! Here is a list of their holiday weekend specials and there are some great deals! For example, there is a Yukon Express Wood Train Station that used to be $50 and it is on sale for $7.99! And really there are too many to list that are great prices; just go to their "holiday weekend specials".

Anyone need a guitar for their Wii Rock Band or Guitar Hero? Amazon has one for $7 right now, but I'm finding throughout the day that the prices are subject to change at any time, so if you want it, act fast. It is also eligible for Free Super Saver Shipping over $25.

Build-A-Bear, Shoes, Aeropostale

Some pretty decent STLs today:

Build-A-Bear is offering $40 worth of gift cards for only $25 and free shipping. These would make great gifts from Grandma/Grandpa for their little grandkids. Follow these directions:

1. Click here
2. Add 3 $10 gift cards to cart
3. When in cart, you will be prompted to add an additional $10 GC for only $5
4. Checkout, apply coupon code 93304 for $10 off
Your total will be $10 x 3 + $5 x 1 - $10 = $25 with free shipping.

Shoes.com is having a 75% off sale on mens and womens shoes. They are also offering an additional percentage off plus free shipping. Try these codes: CASHOES15 (15% off), YAMS (10% off) and BFF08 (20% off).

Once again, Aeropostale has dropped their prices to 50-70% off. I'm not sure if this applies to their stores or not.

Happy Shopping! Get a newspaper tomorrow for the Black Friday deals! I'll try to post some in case you don't get the paper. Happy Thanksgiving!

Twilight Books Anyone?

I don't know many people like me who don't have the Twilight series yet, but in case you don't, Barnes and Noble has a great deal going on them right now, but you have to purchase with a Master Card. It's $35 for all, with free shipping. Follow these directions:

1. Click here
2. Search for 9780316031844
3. Add to cart

Apply coupon H4D4U8B (V7E3F7F for Barnes & Noble members) at checkout
The coupon may not work if you do not have a mastercard selected as your form of payment. If you receive an error message the first time, try again. It should work the 2nd time. Barnes and Noble members, use coupon V7E3F7F instead to save 40% on top of your membership discount.

Anyone need makeup? I've never ordered from here before, but ELF (Eyes Lips Face) is having cosmetics for only $1. Pretty cool. Try coupon code EGSHIPBJ for $2 shipping.

Traditionally, for each new baby we'd buy them their own ornament for Christmas with their name on it. We almost always get them from Things Remembered. Use coupon code XMAS10 for a 10% off savings.

If you are in need of hair care products and like Dove (I do), here is a coupon for $1 off at Target.

Cool site! I just found a new site for toys called eToys and they are not only having some great sales right now, but they are offering free shipping on hundreds of toys. If you know specifically what you want, why not search it, have it sent to you for free?

Spiderman, Music and More

This week means some crazy shopping for everyone. My sister's bishop, in a parent-only meeting yesterday, urged everyone to be cautious in their spending this Christmas and to not go into debt. Our economy is fragile, yes retailers will suffer this year, but our love for our children is not determined by how much we spend or how many gifts we give them. So, I second his words. I will try to post the best deals I find, to prevent any major wallet catastrophies. Please, if you see something cool, send it my way so I can add it!

For little Spidey fans everywhere, there is a Spiderman Training Studio, complete with DVD, training mat and punching bag retails for $35, on sale for a low $5.74! Cool gift for a few bucks.

Fisher Price has a I Can Play Guitar System, for those budding musicians out there. Retails for $120, on sale for $44.

For fans of The Killers, (and who wouldn't be with that name!) Amazon is offering a complete download of their newest album for $3.99.

I got a notification from Aeropostale yesterday that they will have some unbelievable deals each day this week. Sure enough, they are offering 50% off everything !

Ok, so we'll start with those. . .

Toys, Gloss and Didj

I'll start with my favorite. Has anyone heard of the new Leapfrog system called Didj? In my research, I've found this to be an amazing little learning system. You can actually download your child's level of math or weekly spelling list, for example, from your computer. Then, the games will prompt your child every few minutes to answer a question in order for them to move on. You can try it out at your local Target. It's hard to find this system under $90 but Leapfrog is having their friends and family sale right now, for 30% off, making the system $63! There are also games on the site and other accessories. Free shipping over $50. Promotional code is HY8NFF.

My brother got me some Burt's Bees products for Christmas a few years ago and I loved them! Problem is, they are pricey (just check Kohlers!). Burts Bees is having a great sale right now of a 5-pack lip gloss for $5, plus $3 s/h. Would make great stocking stuffers.

If you are doing your Christmas shopping online this year, our friend Amazon is having a deal on select toys, such as Littlest Pet Shop. If you spend $50, you get a free toy, up to a $24.99 value. Not a bad option.

If anything else pops up, I'll let you know! Ta, ta for now! GO COUGS!!!

Sorry--Late posting!

Went to see Twilight with sister and Mom, (great flick, by the way) so I'm getting this out later than I wanted, but here are my STLs for today:

My cousin tipped me off to a great deal for those of you with little girls. Right now at Limited Too, everything is buy one get one free, PLUS on top of that you get 30% off your entire order! Code is 758. They have Webkins, so with the percentage off you could get 2 for less than $12, making each one less than $6. Thanks Christina!

Also, I haven't explored the site much yet, but my friend told me about Ebates. Here's what she said: "You start at this site, when purchasing something, and click through them to get to whatever site you want to buy from. They open a tracking ticket, and when you make your purchase, they give you a rebate for a percentage of the purchase. They have really good rebates- the current rebate for a Barnes and Noble purchase is 8%. You can still use whatever coupons or promotions or whatever that you have, they just give you an 8% (or whatever) rebate for your purchase total (pre-shipping). They save up your purchases for three or four months, and then send you a check. I've gotten two or three now, and it is a pretty good deal, since it doesn't cost you anything, and just takes more off of your total. They are running a refer-a-friend promotion now where you get an additional $10 added to your check if your first qualifying purchase is before 12/31." Thanks Amber!

Also, another favorite site of mine, and I know many of yours as well, is Half.com. They have every book, CD, video game, etc. you could possibly want at a fraction of the cost. They might be slightly used, but I've never had any problems with things I've ordered from here.

Also, not that I'm a huge Walmart fan, but they are having some crazy clearance deals right now. Check out kids' apparel if needed! Cute stuff. Shipping is cheap or you can have it sent to the nearest Wally's for free.

Please feel free to send me links or other deals if you see them so I can post them for all to see! Thanks to those of you who have shared!

Friends and Family, Guitar Hero 3, etc

We don't yet own a Wii system, but I have many friends and family who have them and the talk this season is of the new release of Guitar Hero III:Legends of Rock. Amazon has it for $35 (eligible for Super Saver free shipping) PLUS if you get the game or the Aerosmith version, you can get 2 guitars for $20! So, with the game, plus 2 guitars it is only $55. I thought that was a great deal. It's Amazon's Countdown to Black Friday deal.

Also, I'm a big fan of Aeropostale and they have their friends and family 30% off right now with code FRIENDS08 (exp.11/23). Here is a printable in-store coupon for those who would prefer to go in and try things on.

Also, here is a printable coupon for $10 off $25 for JCPenny.

Okay, so there's a start for today. I'll be back to add more later!

Gifts for Men and More

Am I the only person who finds it hard to shop for men? I doubt it. Well, my husband is a huge college football fan and I saw that Amazon has college hooded sweatshirts for $17.99 (with free shipping if you spend over $25). They have virtually every college on there and I know Costco was selling similar hoodies recently for over $30, so not too shabby.

There are also some decent deals at the Nike Store in the clearance section. Also, right now, you can get an additional 20% off the clearance with code NOVCLEAR (exp 11/26) and free shipping with code GIVENIKE (exp. 12/20). They have some great gear and shoes on sale for the sports fanatic.

Can you say Crazy Fare?

The first STL of this newly-created blog helps to perfectly define who I am. I love Disney! It's a magic that goes way back to childhood. Anyway, the deal I found today was an unbelievable round-trip ticket to Orlando, FL for $99 from SLC on Delta! If you're interested, there are still dates available (Dec-Feb 11) so act fast! My favorite search engine for airfare deals (and the cheapest I've found) is on Cheap Air. You'll have the best price if you put that your dates are flexible. Sunny Florida mid-winter? Yeah, that's a beautiful thing.
